LE FORMICHE DI GROSSETO
Three small islets, one of which has a lighthouse now used as a Luxury Hotel set in the middle of the sea,
included in the Tuscan Archipelago.
They lie off the Grosseto coast of the Maremma Natural Park, and rise sharply from a seabed about 100 metres deep.
They are part of the municipality of Grosseto. On the largest "Formica", Formica Grande, stands the Formiche di Grosseto lighthouse.
The three islets are about 14 nautical miles from Castiglione della Pescaia, 10 from Marina di Grosseto and 8 from Bocca d'Ombrone
