Cala di Forno is a fine-sand beach well sheltered from the winds, located in the Maremma Natural Park, strongly protected; it is among the least accessible beaches but perhaps the most seductive on the Maremma coast.
The beach is about 3/4 kilometers long (one way only), reachable only on foot or by boat.
Of course it’s a beach for nature lovers, for the more adventurous, and it’s absolutely atypical: foxes or fallow deer often stroll on the sand, while looking up to the sky it’s not rare to spot the majestic peregrine falcon.
On Cala di Forno beach it’s not possible to buy water or food and there are no facilities to shelter from the sun, so it’s very important to go well equipped.
